Trees by the Sea

Splashes of red and green, glistening lights, shiny sequins, and iridescent beads with Christmas carols in the background will infuse the UH Cancer Center’s Sullivan Conference Center with the holiday spirit on December 6 and 7. All this will be happening as we usher in the magic of Christmas at the inaugural “Trees By The Sea” benefit event for the Friends of the University of Hawai’i Cancer Center.

You and your guests will be treated to the premier unveiling of magnificently trimmed Christmas trees and organic wreaths to ring in the holiday season.

At the wine and champagne reception, elegantly and creatively decorated trees, wreaths and ornaments will be offered for sale.

We hope you will help us make our inaugural Trees by the Sea holiday event a joyous and fun way to support a very worthy cause.

About Friends of the UH Cancer Center

Mission

The Friends of the UH Cancer Center is a 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to promote the efforts of the University of Hawaii Cancer Center. The Friends’ mission is to generate community support for cancer research and education to prevent and reduce cancer-related deaths as well as improve the quality of life of those diagnosed with cancer. The Friends support the Center’s focus on opportunities that are unique to Hawai’i and its people.

Support

Cancer is a disease that impacts one in two people during their lifetime and touches nearly everyone. The Friends organization was established to support the Cancer Center in their quest to prevent and find cures for cancer in Hawaii. This includes the Center’s education and outreach programs for those battling cancer, and family and friends who care or are caregivers. The Friends respond to and fulfill the UH Cancer Center’s need for private funds to supplement federal and state resources by coordinating fundraising events and conducting an annual friendship drive to give people like you the opportunity to play a vital role in the fight against cancer.
